Our founder, Lawrence A. Goldberg, established his practice in 1967 and has been aggressively fighting for victims of injury throughout eastern Pennsylvania ever since. In 2012, Joel Goldberg — Larry’s son — returned from California to join and strengthen the practice. Then, in 2015, Maria Janoski brought her experience in both personal injury and civil litigation to the team. Finally, in January 2018, Chad Maloney, a former prosecutor for the United States Marine Corps and Chester County District Attorney's Office, joined our team. Today, the firm stands stronger than ever in its mission to protect the rights and well-being of the people in our community.
We know from decades of experience that no two cases are exactly alike, and that’s precisely why our approach begins with listening. We take the time to understand your unique needs and goals so that we can structure a legal plan that makes sense for you. From there, we combine strategy, intuition, and aggressive litigation — as needed — to turn that plan into a reality.
We are known throughout Chester County as a litigation law firm. In other words, we have extensive courtroom experience, and we’re not afraid to use it. From the moment you hire us, we begin preparing your case for trial. The reason we do this is because we know that, often, the other side will not present their fairest offer until they see that we are ready to go as far as it takes to reach a favorable outcome.
Larry’s drive and passion for helping others led him first into the U.S. Army and later into the field of law. Now, in addition to serving his clients, he works to ensure that the next generation of lawyers provides the same level of service by hosting an annual advocacy academy for up-and-coming attorneys.
Clients enjoy working with Joel because his interest in their well-being is undeniably genuine. On top of that, he has the knowledge and skill to handle just about any legal challenge a case may present.
In addition to personal injury, Maria’s practice includes litigating claims that involve employment discrimination, veterans’ benefits, contract disputes, and other civil matters. If you’re looking for an attorney with far-reaching legal knowledge and a focused, strategic approach, Maria is the attorney to see.
Like Larry, Chad's instinct to help others paved the way for both a military and legal career. Before joining Goldberg, Janoski & Maloney, he was an assistant district attorney and a Marine.
Today, Chad uses his background in criminal law, as well as his natural litigation skills, to represent clients both in and out of the courtroom.
Getting incredible legal representation doesn’t have to be a hassle, nor does it have to break the bank. We at Goldberg, Janoski & Maloney always strive to take on as much of our clients’ burden as we can while also getting them the best possible outcomes for their personal injury cases.
For starters, we offer free initial consultations, work on a contingency basis, and are happy to meet with you at home or in the hospital. The way we see it, you don’t need to add the stress of attorney fees or travel to your already full plate.
Our philosophy is to prepare each case for a jury trial, even those that are likely to be settled. While most personal injury cases are resolved without the time and expense of obtaining a jury verdict, this mindset helps us to be thoroughly prepared for whatever curveballs the other side may try to throw. The result — well, our track record speaks for itself. We have successfully obtained multi-million dollar settlements and jury verdicts for our clients who suffered severe or fatal injuries, and we have obtained many settlements and jury verdicts for sums substantially larger than what the defendants' insurance carriers initially offered.
